呢喃，偶爾吶喊

Daniel Powter 的《Bad Day》是我近年來最喜歡的一首英文歌，
上週金曲獎邀請 Daniel 擔任頒獎及表演嘉賓，特地守著電視欣賞他的現場演出。
會喜歡這首歌，原本是覺得它的旋律好聽得不落俗套(我知道這很主觀)，
這次趁著聆聽 Daniel 的原音重現，順便瞥了歌詞(當然是中譯)，
才發現它原來是首相當勵志的歌。

事實上，創作出這首歌的 Daniel Powter 本身就是個相當勵志的故事。
1971年出生的他有一位鋼琴家母親，所以從小就接觸音樂，
卻因自身的閱讀障礙而看不懂五線譜，
儘管他在音感上表現優異，
老師不留情的批評仍讓他產生嚴重挫折感，
於是他決定放棄學業走上創作之路。
然而，在向唱片公司投石問路的過程中，
他總是一次又一次地因為怯場而搞砸演出。
一直到2003年他終於獲得華納的賞識，有了精進創作技巧和錄製唱片的機會，
2005年，華納選用《Bad Day》作為他的出道曲，
首站進軍歐洲，以可口可樂廣告曲的姿態面世，
自此開始向世界發聲，這一年他34歲。
隔年，《Bad Day》被美國歌唱節目《American Idol》相中，
成為勉勵參賽失利者的歌曲，因此大大打響了這首歌的知名度，
隨後橫掃北美各大排行榜。

目前面臨人生低潮，或正嘗試走出陰霾的朋友（包括我在內），聽聽這首歌吧！
既然人生只能往前走，遇到壞天氣你可以選擇撐把傘奮力往前衝，
更可以光明正大偷閒，停下腳步喝杯熱茶稍事休息，等待雨過天青再優雅前進，
我們要相信，現在的失意、低潮、碰壁、哭泣，
定會在不久的將來成為能在茶餘飯後侃侃而談的一道人生風景。
